Making Your Life Easier
In 2010 a gentleman in Ohio got tired of mucking stalls the old-fashioned way. Being inventive, Jon created the first useable mucking machine. He had some friends in the horse world who saw his machine and wanted one for themselves. Over the next ten years, he built 124 machines by hand.
Jon started building the machines in his garage and continued doing so until 2020. I bought the last machine he built and loved it. When I found out he was done building them… his primary business was quite active, and he didn’t have the time to build them any longer. I bought the last machine he built and the rights to the design.
We have taken his hand-built machine and made some significant improvements. Using a motor with much more power and torque, building pieces made out of plastic tubing before, and using metal for longevity now and developing a professionally built product that will have a longer life, be more efficient, and be easier to use. That is how the Muck King has come into existence.
The Muck King Company is owned by horse owners who appreciate how back-breaking mucking a stall is by hand. We have developed a battery-operated machine (no extension cords needed) that will clean 100 stalls on a charge; very portable, quiet, and efficient.
It will save you time cleaning your stalls and will save you bedding costs. If you are fortunate enough to have someone who cleans your stalls for you, it will save you labor costs and bedding costs. Our tests with various customers save about 30 to 40% of the labor time and about 40% of the bedding costs, and you end up with much cleaner stalls.
We aim to give you more time to enjoy your horses and save money.
What Our Clients Say
We can do 3 stalls in the time it took us to do one! My staff says it is a “life saver.”

It works really well!

I have been cleaning stalls for 15 years, and this cuts my time in half.

I love my Muck King!
It cuts cleaning time down SO much. It is economical because the sifting allows for less wasted bedding. It fluffs the bedding and makes it last longer. I use pelleted bedding.
I do not remember how long I have owned my Muck King; it has been at least 10 years. It works great! I just had to change out the battery!

I work in a National Champion Cutting Horse barn with a whole lot of stalls. We love the Muck King. We have used the prototype in our barn and taken it to shows. It saves us so much time that we want at least two of them and possibly three. It literally saves us hours every day we use it and it cuts our bedding costs.
